I've lived in Rosewood "Ash wood Cove" since 2005, they have been through A LOT of changes since then. I can say that at times they where hard to get along with and at times they where not. Sorta like family! They got a new Staffing team a few years back and they have really turned these (((30))) year old apartments around!

They are not the best for the price but you have to remember the majority of the residents here attend MTSU and so they are able to hike up the prices. I'll try my best to give a honest review. Pro vs. con

PRO's

- LOCATION-- Well they are close to MTSU obviously, i've lived in 3 differnt apartments, upgrading to the townhouse the last move and they all had good living space.

- VIEW-- Since the new management took over the overall look of the property has improved so its a nice looking community

- SAFETY-- There's ample amount of light in the area and the site is pretty much set up to where there are little to no blind spots in the line of sight. They keep the grounds maintained and well kept. Crime rate is not bad at least from what I've seen the last 4 yrs I've lived here. While at Rosewood Apartments my car was broken into and my neighbors car was broken into. When I moved into the Townhouse the only thing that has happen was a resident got into a argument with wife, and it appeared to have been some BRAND new residents that lived here for about 3 months and got arrested by cops for what appeared to be either theft of high valued items and/or drugs.

- MANAGEMENT is very helpful. She's very understandable and if you are a good tenant she'll try her best to help you with any problems you have. I've had some problems my last few month living here and she made moves that I really can't ever be more grateful about. I'll hate to leave this community but nothing last forever.

There are other pro for this property but these are just a few that came to the top of my head.

CONS

- INSIDE THE APARTMENTS-- These apartments are 30 years old and they have not been renovated to keep up with the much younger (and sometimes cheaper) apartments in Murfreesboro. In the townhouses in the summer you have to either close the 3 vents to get air upstairs or lose weight!! ceiling fans got installed in one room but it didn't really help much.

- MAINTENANCE-- They did there jobs but in my own experience it took more than one trip for some of the same problems. I don't know if the office staff didn't give them the work orders or what not but sometimes I would put in work orders and weeks later had to put it in again because no one ever came.

-UTILITIES -- If you lived in the apartments then you paid all utilities through the companies yourself, but if you lived in the townhouses you paid water through a different company in which they divided the whole townhouse unit amongst the# of ppl living in the home. So EVEN if you used the same amount of water each month your water bill could spike because of you neighbor.

-STAFF-- Most of the staff will do what they can to help and then there are times they make it harder for things to get done. But like I said "MOST" will help. Here's an example of what I've witness: Someone came to speak to the manager but staff pretty much said she was busy and can't help. She came out and spoke to the person after she got done talking to someone in her office. Office staff then pulled manager to the side to WHISPER the situation to her letting her know not to over rule her. Very rude!

-OVER PRICED-- The the quality of living for the prices that they charge are really not worth what you get. You are able to paint but it has to be light colored so you have the privilege to make home somewhat home. They where built 30 years ago so they need to renovate and do some upgrading. They added/ built a BRAND NEW office, removed a few recreational parks for the kids, fixed the parking lots, cut down trees, BUT they forgot about the renovating of the apartments, the tenants got left with pretty much a bucket in a new Cadillac frame!

-CLUBHOUSE-- because a few ungrateful ppl where going into the club house and stealing all the snacks and drinking all the juice the office then had a lock placed on the door and how did they get reimbursed for this' they charged the residents a $25 non-refundable fee in order to get a key made to get into the clubhouse or even the gym! Not fair for the rest of the residents here! would of been cheaper just to install cameras.

-TRASH-- Due to residents not properly throwing away their trash and leaving it on the ground ( sometimes it had to be due to the whole complex using one trash site )the complex built a compactor that for some are on the other side of the complex. Rain, sleet, or snow, or simply freezing weather...OTHER SIDE of the complex for some!... They did say if you need help getting trash out to call and maintenance would pick it up but they also left notes on doors stating there would be fines for living trash bags on the porch.

If you can over look some things such as not paying too much for what you get and just want a friendly home environment, they is the place to be. They truly will look out for those that have been no trouble and they have no problem getting rid of the trouble makers. This complex was a great experience for my first time renting and I left behind good memories, hopefully once you come check out the property you can find a good home with Ashwood Cove.

Oh BTW when you look at your apartments don't get dazzled by what you see...look for the small stuff too, really look don't forget these apartments are 30 yrs old and have not been renovated.
