Upon first view of one of these apartments it may seem like a steal for the low prices the landlord will quote you. (Assuming you made it out of the front office alive.) It's not. Bedroom doors will be missing and how dare you ask the landlord to actually have a door put in for you!!! That is not to say that Mrs. Betty has never been nice to me or anyone else living there, but she will suddenly one day come after you with a vengeance for no reason! The people on here that say they have never had any problems with her must never actually see her or are perhaps thinking of a different Brownstone Apartment complex with a sane landlord named Betty. She will give you nasty looks when you are pulling out of the parking lot just because she is mean spirited.

I seriously think she spies on her tenants. I know a girl that said Mrs. Betty walked up to her one day and said "I saw what you and your boyfriend were doing on the couch the other day." I'm sorry, but that's just creepy and wrong and she should be thrown in jail for spying on her tenants the way she does.

I have seen her walking behind and in between the buildings on occassion and to be fair it is possible she is just walking the grounds, but considering they don't even keep up the place, it is hard to swallow. Bottom line, Mrs. Betty needs to be in a nursing home somewhere yelling at orderlies. She is NOT fit for ANY job and is actually notorious in Murfreesboro for being a horrible raging lunatic.

Now, if you can somehow manage to get past this (Perhaps you are a therapist) I doubt you will be able to get past the fact that the place is freaking falling apart! I had several appliances that didn't work for weeks at a time and when I would request these things be fixed the landlord would yell at me for bothering her. The wallpaper is peeling off the wall in chunks and the place hasn't been repainted or had new wall paper or new carpeting put in since it was built.

It may be tempting to lease here since it is cheap and close to campus and relatively big for the price, but once you move in you will see that the buildings really are falling apart and have not been kept up over the years and you will find yourself timing your day around when the landlord walks her dog so you never have to see her.
