I'm a respectful tenant, always have been, and I pride myself on that - yet Betty accused me of doing a lot of things (such as having another person living in my apt with me off the lease, not paying my rent, etc) that was NOT true. When I went in to (respectfully) discuss this with her, she cursed me out.

Another example: I came in to pay rent in cash one day and she REFUSED to give me a receipt, for cash. She said, "If you don't trust me, why should I trust you'!!" I told her I needed it for tax purposes and she still refused.

Another time I had a friend come from Nashville after working, park in the visitor spot where he was SUPPOSED to, and within ten minutes a tow truck was called. He went over and (respectfully) said, "Ma'am, I just got here - you can even feel the hood of my car, it's still warm." She called him a liar and said she'd known he'd been there for three days and anything over two days, a visitor had to leave.


There was incident after incident after incident with this lady, and it didn't matter how you spoke with her - she'd STILL scream at you for no reason. I called the owner to complain about her, and he wouldn't hear my complaints. Trust me - if you get "in the bed" with this woman, you can't get out.

I eventually filed complaints with the BBB and Dept. of Consumer Affairs over this lady - and I will never, never, never move into any apartments she manages or the owner owns again.

I know Betty personally. She frequents my place of employment. She is a mean person to everyone she comes in contact with. She even had a problem with one of the sweetest girls I work with!
