Cason Estates is by far the best place to live in Murfreesboro. It was the first apartments I checked out in town and I never went anywhere else. I got a GREAT move-in special. They apartments inside are awesome, all new appliances, garden tubs and huge closets! The staff here is awesome as well, as well as the maintenance staff. Unforuntely I have to move because of a job but I sure wish I could take my apartment with me. :o(

You actually got a move in special, well they must were really trying to keep me away, they claimed that there was not a move in special during the time of my lease signing. You must fit here, as one other resident stated. My special was to pay the 1st and last months rent. But what does that matter I am just a black woman trying to make a living and this type of treatment is my life story...little do cason estates know, but they did not hurt me they will have to answer to someone much more powerful than myself....yes you may say that i am angry, but I am not, I am a resident,I just want all of the people that say they fit and those who are soooo happy about their great move in specail to know, heaven "ain't" here on earth....

Out of all the kissing up you just did, you can only speak for you and your wife. Since you have so much knowledge about specials, why aren't you working for Cason Estates, they may need you on their team. And I may be "bellyaching" as you mentioned, but that is what this website is for.

No, this website is for providing the outline of your experiences. Your move in date more than likely was at a peak sales time, much like mine was, and explains away the implication that your failure to receive a special was somehow linked to racism. Call my defense of the staff from my own experiences whatever you will, but at no point did you show in any way proof that the failure of the staff to give you a discounted move-in special was based on anything but timing. You can't imply racism, and then fail to substantiate it. It weakens its effectiveness when it is applied to real cases of violations of the fair housing laws. There are plenty of those to go around without chucking out the implication of racism when you moved in without any proof.

I don't have much on this subject to contribute but I will say that Certain types of people are forced to go elsewhere. Race in country will never go away but in someway shape or form we all discriminate and judge. I think it is sad that someone thinks that because of their color they were not given the same chances or opportunities but the reality is, this happens more often then we choose to beleive. You bet someone up for how they feel they were treated. I personally have seen and heard this kind of thing, I was late for a Doctors appointment by 15 mins, another lady who happened to be ------- american was only late by 5 mins and was told that their policies were, if you were late you were not seen. The lady was very rude to her but she didn't say this to me nor was she rude. NO matter how you look at it, its not what you feel that is important, its how she feels.
