what looks nice from the outside, is far from what you get at chelsea place. this opinion comes from the side opposite the office/pond units. our apartment is literally falling apart. the carpet is probably 15 yrs old and the cheapest material you can find. we painted when we moved in and had to pull up 3 layers of wallpaper that had just been painted over by maintenance. there must be holes in the walls because we've had the staff out to spray for BROWN RECLUSE spiders and COCKROACHES on several occasions and we are NOT dirty people. i was locked out of the apartment about a month ago when i put my key in and it broke in half inside the lock. we constantly have non-residents coming to our door because they found out that you have to have a key to get OUT of the pool. we hear police sirens almost every night. bad neighborhood. the city has been doing road construction for over a year outside the apt and i have had several nails removed from my tires. parking is ok. the staff is rude and they blame you when they make abrupt changes and put up notices- for example, changing the entry method to the laundry room- and do not date the notices, for you having to call them for help when your clothes are locked in at 10 o'clock at night during the week. however, if you are a female with no identification on you, all you have to do is flirt with the staff for them to let you into the gym in the middle of the night. i have had to call the police because when i leave for work at 6am, i have found men outside MY apartment drinking liquor. not safe. ghetto. overpriced. if you're going to pay this much to rent, consider your safety.. and your health. i'm leaving..
