... but you can't afford the plane ticket may I suggest Chelsea Place Apartments on Bradyville Pike. When my wife and I lived there (for an entire year and we weren't evicted) a car got bombed in the parking lot on January 1, 2008. First, we thought it might have been a gunshot, which sadly would have been normal, but after going outside we saw something burning. Police and firetrucks were soon to follow. The funniest thing we later realized is that if it would have been my or my wife's vehicle on fire out there we wouldn't have been able to do a damn thing about it because the fire extenguishers were missing from our building. As a matter of fact, a further investigation revealed that there were no extinguishers in any of the designated slots in our building.

Other complaints ...

The paper thin walls with that was mostly made of wallpaper and paint underneath paint underneath paint underneath paint ...

Living on the first floor sucked. Mista C kept us up all night banging his crack whores.

My wife would wake me up early in the morning when she was getting ready for work ... not because she wanted to spend time with me, but because there were 3" long cockroaches crawling around in our bathroom. (We kept our apartment extremely clean).

The bitchy management that one day decided to change the due date on rent without notifying tenants of the change ... and then sending out rude letters to everyone saying not to let it happen again.

The lighting in our apartment was non-existent, because there was no fixture in our living room for such a light, nor the bedroom ...


We had a screen door that would not lock, so our cat --- being the smart guy that he is --- decided to slide the door open and take a 2-day stroll around the complex.

Our neighbors moved out and left their key in the door ... we notified management who didn't do squat about it until 3 or 4 days later.

The GHETTO peepz ridin' round in their beaters, walking their gangster walk and talking their gangsta talk, You'know'wha'I'm'sayin mang'

But all in all I really loved Chelsea Place. It made me who I am today ... a disgruntled apartment dweller bent on mass homicide.

An off-duty Murfreesboro Police officer was attacked Friday near his home, for no apparent reason, according to Murfreesboro Police spokesman Kyle Evans.

Officer Chance York was outside his Chelsea Place apartment, located at 805 Bradyville Pike in Murfreesboro, when two suspects assaulted him, said Evans.

"He was struck by some type of heavy instrument, like a metal rod," he said.

The two individuals basically beat him up and then fled the scene, Evans explained.

York sustained several injuries and was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center, where he was treated and later released.

"He's going to be out for a day or two" to recuperate, Evans said of the officer.

Police detective Chris Ashley is conducting the investigation of the incident.

According to Evans, Ashley is still trying to determine a motive for the assault.

The suspects have been described as a black man about 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3, weighing approximately 200 pounds, and another man in his 20s to 30s.
