I have lived at University Courtyard/College Grove for a year and a half. The reason why I stayed there is because I didnt want to have to move all of my stuff out and then back into another apartment after only being there a year. That was the biggest mistake I have ever made. My first year there, I came home from work to find cops and ambulances everywhere around my apartment building. Come to find out they had a shooting and a guy was put into the hospital for almost a month. Parking sucked because every freaking weekend there was parties going on. Yeah they did throw a bond fire for everyone, and you might think that is so cool, but its not for the people that actually have jobs and that need to get in bed because all you hear is loud bands playing, not fun at all. I got to the point were I was scared to walk to the pool by myself during the day because they kept having break-ins and people getting raped last year. Maintence sucks donkey butt. A work order had been placed since the first of August about there being a hole in my laundry room door since the day we moved in, and they say everything is in tip top condition when you are ready to move in ...BS! We complained several times about it and I think it was the end of October when they finally came to put a new door up that they had had for several months. The guys said that they would be back later that day to paint it, that was a lie to. So I gave them to the end of the week, still no paint. Finally about a month of complaining, they came to put the 1st coat on, said be back tomorrow to finish it, another BS lie. Can these people not tell the truth''' When I moved in, the internet was suppost to be installed and running, do you think that was' NOPE! You wanna know how long it took for them to even start installing it' December, 5 months into my lease. They wouldnt even take money off my rent for me having to pay for my internet since I had an online class but they didnt care. They said that is why they have a computer lab, but its only open during office hours, which were 10a - 5p while I was at school and then I would go to work. This year I thought it might be better with them having new ownership. It hasnt been. The alarm messed up and it took them a good 3 months of me bitching and calling every day for someone to finally come out and fix a 5 minute job. My dryer heating coil went out and it took them about 2 weeks to come and fix it. Oh and we were suppose to have this new exclusive black leather furniture, well not, its an ugly ass red color, one more lie to add to the list of things. We are suppose to have 24 hour access to the weight room, but we still dont, and all this stuff is in my lease that we have, and we still dont, well the furniture finally came in right before I left town but they hadnt even started putting it in with the trucks sitting outside, taking up parking, not visitor, OUR PARKING. I have had to call the cops several times about loud music in my apartment building. It stops for the night and starts back up the next night, even at 3a and its like MFer go to bed. The office manager told me to stop calling the cops and call and let the people in the office deal with it since he is in breach of his lease, then the so called assistant, which is another goofy ass college girl that they let live there for free just to answer calls, its a job my 12 yo cousin could do, not much they look into when someone wants to work. When they had the shooting this year right outside the stairs to building, everyone was wanting out of their lease for their safety and they said that they couldnt.

Overall, its a great place for freshman that just want to party and stay drunk, but if you actually want to just chill out and have a peaceful night every now and then, stay away. The office staff makes it sound so enjoyable but everything they have ever told me has been nothing but lies, or should I say, when they tell us that it will be done by, plan on it being done about 3 or 4 months after they say it will!
