I moved into college grove last august and i have yet to be happy about the apartment. first of all, it was not cleaned up very well beforehand. my bathroom sink has a hole in it and there is nasty black stuff all around my shower head. the furniture is cheap. everytime we go a load of laundry, the washer just about floods our laundry room. yet when we told maintenance they brushed it off and said it was "just condensation" and didnt do anything about it. condensation doesnt flood a room! eventually (6 months later) we got SOMEone to come look at it and it indeed was broken. the dryer sucks, it can take up to 3 hours to dry a load of laundry... i kid you not. we have bug issues.. our biggest problem has been ants! all the office told us was that they couldnt really do anything about it and let us borrow their can of Raid... which we havent returned it to them. the front door is supposed to be "safer" with their use of a card-key (like a hotel room keys) as the only way to get in. it may be "safer" but i cant even count how many times i have been locked out of my own apartment because the card-key wont work. i got locked out on a sunday night one time and had to go 45 minutes to my parents house to sleep because the office is closed i couldnt get it reset. my roommate has slept in her car in the parking lot before because she has been locked out. another time she had to climb up to our 2nd floor balcony to get into the apt. it is just not the best place in the world to live. it's not anywhere near a "home." it just feels like a random place i happen to sleep at. i HATE college grove!
