A relatively new apartment complex, College Pointe is within walking distance from the MTSU campus. Walking from the complex you can reach campus in about 3 minutes, but it can still take up to 15 or 20 minutes to reach class, depending on where you're going. The parking lot is well lit at night, and there is a direct lit route to campus. Parking is decent, but sometimes it will fill up with non-residents, because guest parking is quickly filled.

If you're a student who, contrary to most students who live here, actually likes to succeed, get your work done, and sleep undisturbed, this is a terrible place to live. The walls are as thin as paper and any word said through them can be heard on the other side. This is especially the case if you live next to black people... and odds are you are going to. There are lots of black people in this complex, and according to management (and observation) the ------ are the ones who cause most of the noise and problems. If you live next to a black person pray to your little god that you are deaf, are a deep sleeper, or hopefully you enjoy hearing rapping and yelling and hooting and primal screams through out the entire night. There are enough people in this complex who have absolutely zero respect for the people they live around to make it an awful living environment. Imagine living in an apartment complex occupied by circus freaks, degenerate scumbags, other lowest common denominators, and just generally unpleasant people and you have just imagined living here. Now do it for real. No, I'm kidding. Don't. Watch out when you're backing your car out from a parking spot because you might hit a monkey on a tricycle, or a half Chinese half Puerto Rican baby running away from its mother.

Maybe you like the smell of tar coming through your air vents' If so, wonderful! You will love living in the apartments that have air vents (a.k.a. all of them). You can smell everything your neighbor is doing, everything they are smoking, everything they are cooking, and everything that they flush down the toilet.

Oh, and when you move into your place it's not going to be clean. Expect a week of cleaning.

Oh, and you're going to have doors connecting your apartment to other people you don't know and probably can't trust (see: black people), so that they can have access to your living space, because apparently this place runs on the ideals of communism.

Oh, and you can pay about $4 to do laundry. WHAT A GOOD DEAL!

Oh, and you can expect everything that the landlady says to be a lie.

This person is racist and obviously does not welcome diversity!!!! You are living on a college area apartment....what do you expect?! I lived at College Pointe for two years and love it! Any noise complaints I had was fixed by the manager's daughter. The noisemaker was actually causaian not black. No apartment is perfect!

I don't fully disagree with the primary statement. A bit harsh but is about right. Hell, I had a man with a handgun and drugs next to me. He enjoyed rolling his revolver over and over. Excuse me for not appreciating them letting him in there. PROFILE these people. Some of them really don't seem like they give a damn. The daughter that dates the bugman......, but she really does, from how often the truck was there.
