Where do I begin' When we first moved to Colony House the rates were slightly cheaper than most apartments that were even smaller. The complex was very nice considering the apartments are older. However after only a few months things begin to go down hill. The lucious pool is never used so so much for social activity and it is only 5ft deep throughout. The tennis court is covered with pine cones and the nets are down. The basketball courts have no nets because the rowdy kids in the neighborhood keep tearing them down. It took me writing a letter to the main company for things to "improve" around here. Recently there was a storm come through and did some damage to the complex. That was May 2003 and it is now Novemeber 2003 and things are just now getting fixed. After management told us it would be fixed in June. Windows don't seal, screen doors fall off, things don't get fixed when asked. The management is shady and incompetent. The people in the neighborhood are hermits and never come out to do anything but stare and let there kids roam the complex like beasts bumping into your car with their bikes. NO RESPECT!!! The laundry mat on the site is a joke, nasty and a money stealer. The insides are completely dull, with old brown carpet, yet they are roomy. But, the fixtures are old and need to be updated and this company refuses to do anything about it. IF you are a young person looking to enjoy the college experience Colony House is more like a nursing home for punks and weird hermits who like to stare and fight all night. Especially when they sit outside all day and night yelling on the phone to their boyfriend who keeps coming over for some action and then leaves. The volleyball court is a glass, needle infested sandpit, which was supposed to be redone in June and has yet to be done. If you like the projects then you will love Colony House.
