I lived at Colony House with my husband and daughter for almost 3 years. Eventually ownership changed as well as management, which lead to a lot of rennovations & a more friendly office staff. Things that I liked there were: apt. size, pet friendly, the people & kids, it is hidden away in a cool neighborhood & not on any busy roads, 2 1/2 baths (!), maintainance, and my apartment in general. I would say it is the closest thing I've found to feeling like a home without living in a house. Things that I didn't care for were: the pool is small & shallow (4-5 feet max I think'), some apts. are too far a walk & are sometimes over-full, I think there could be more substantial landscaping and more amenities as well, price considered. Oh, I truly truly loved & miss the 1 lg. & 1 smaller storage rooms, they were invaluable for our family! We were very comfortable there & I would reccomend it, especially if you rent during a promotion / special. (Otherwise I think that the prices could be a little cheaper.)
