Kingwood

 

I lived in Kingwood Apartments for a year and a half.

I moved in as a last resort, a roommate fell through and I had to be out of my old place in a week.

A friend had lived there a few years before I did and liked it, so I hastily signed the lease.

The apartment was clean and pretty cheap, 600 a month for a 2 bedroom one bath.

There is a somewhat scary pool and the location is nice, close to MTSU campus but not loud.

Upon move in I discovered that the tub leaked.

I called maintanence right away, but they couldn't fix it so I dealt with a dripping faucet for my entire stay.

This ruined the tub and I had to replace my shower curtain every month because cleaning every day couldn't keep the mildew away.

I also cleaned my kitchen daily and never had problems with bugs until I got new neighbors next door.

They also brought roaches with them.

A friend in another building said that he also had a roach problem.

As far as the staff, Andy is awesome!!! He will go out of his way to make sure that you have what you need and is very personable.

The other people in the office, not so much.

After you stand waiting for them to finish checking their myspace for 10 minutes, they will try to help you, but it seems like they don't know what they are talking about.

They lived downstairs from me and had chairs out in the breeze-way so they could sit and smoke with their friends, even though they had covered patios.

They would constantly go back and forth between their apartments, slamming doors.

Parking was always a problem.

The lease states that you can have 2 cars per person on the lease, my neighbors had 6 cars with one person on the lease.

My roommate had the front window on her car smashed the second night we lived at Kingwood.

The lease also states that if you have a dog, you need to clean up after it goes to the bathroom.

You must also keep your dog on a leash.

There are dog breeds listed that are not allowed because they tend to be aggressive, one of these breeds is a pit bull.

There were two pit bulls in the community, several dogs never on leashes, and dog poop everywhere!!
