I currently live at kingwood apartments. I was rushed into moving in because i had to have a place to live within a few days. I put down the security deposit without viewing the apartment because i was out of town.I only signed a 3 month lease. When i walked thru the front door i was like, wow this place sucks, very outdated, however i was trying to be optimistic about my stay here. My place had a very funky smell, i mean it stunk. I have been here for 4 months now and i thought the smell was gone, no way, im just use to it. I brought my blanket to get it cleaned and wanted to puke at the amell. YUCK!!! I light candle, tons of air freshners and its still here. I mean i have an elictric candle warmer in my closet so my clothes wont stink. The people below me were awful. They called the cops on me because me or my 20 month old daughter were supposely running up and down stairs. Yeah my tiny toddler was doing that. Also, it was only 6pm..i mean even if that was true, dont you have that right before like 8 or 9pm regardless I was always so quiet. I dont see how i would get a complaint not only for that fact but because my surrounding neighbors were constanly screaming across the parking lot, kids being loud as hell. The same neighbors that called the cops on me also would be loud outside at all hours of the night, expecially when the temperature was up. I couldnt imagine living here in the summer. They had like 12 people living there and i dont think any of them worked or went to school. They also thru and ice/snow ball at my window one time at like 12am. I was pissed, they saw me see them to. They smoked tons in thier apartment, the smell would come thru my cabinets in my bathroom. I couldnt even put my towels in my bathroom or they would smell. The insulation sucks, you can feel the breeze coming in from the windows and doors. The apartment is always cold so you have to constantly run heat. My electric bill is $135 a month on the average..it was around 60-70 before it got cold. thats without having heat on at all. Rediculous. Parking is horrible, office tried to fix the problem but they can only do so much as the time it is bad is from like 10pm-4 am. Multiple times i have had to park a couple apartments down. Probably would be more but i am usually at home from 6pm on. It sucked toteing my daughter the whole way, not to mention in the rain one morning when she was sick with pnemonia, but she had to go to the doctor. I am ready to get out of here. I will be gone at the end of the month. Office staff is nice, but apartments and neighbors suck!! Oh and i forgot walls are extremly thin, i wake up every morning to the neighbors alarm as well as sex one morning. I beat on the wall and its been quiet as far as sex noises ever since. I probably would have just left the room for them to finish their buisness with loud screams but i was tired and it was like 6-7 am.
