The buildings and everything in them are cheap.. I lived there when they first opened so everything was supposedly brand new but something else would break every other week. Of course the walls were paper thin so you could hear everyone else in the building. The bedrooms are so small it's not even funny. You have room for the bed, a 3 foot wide desk and a 3 foot wide chest of drawers.. That's it!

The staff was a HUGE pain. Both those that worked at the site and those at the SUH home office. They were outright rude and would sometimes cuss out residents. There was one --- guy named Cole who worked there who hit on all the guys that came in the office. When it was time to move out they would try to charge 100's of dollars for normal wear and tear. A dime sized spot on the carpet that you could barely see supposedly cost $55 to remove. They also let new tenants (whose leases hadn't actually started yet) move their stuff in before we moved out and before they did the final inspection.

Overall Sterling is managed by the most unprofessional people I've ever met and is the worst place I've ever lived. Yes even worse than University Courtyard. The only good thing about the entire place was the pool and hot tub, but it's not worth all the other problems.

the gables has come under new management since this person lived here, so basically none of this even applies anymore.
