I have been reading all of these negative reviews about this place and I do not see where these people are coming from. I have lived here for three years now and have had a great experience. The property has been through several managers since I have been here. First Marissa, then Dora, then Leah, and now Debbie, but they seem to do well with the transitions. Debbie is great! The office staff have been in place for a while now... some of them have been there since Dora. Maintenance always gets to the requests within 24 hours. I have never seen the shuttle be off schedule though it is occasionally full, but if that happens, I just go in the office and tell someone that the shuttle is full and I dont have time to wait for the next and usually someone in there is nice enough to run me to campus. They delivered me a card and balloons on my birthday. They are always super nice any time I go in there. The maintenance staff are always nice whenever they come to do maintenance on the apartment. Everybody is so friendly at University Gables. In the summertime, they always bring popsicles out to everyone at the pool or hand out candy or something. In the winter, they have hot chocolate in the office for everyone. This year on the first day of school they put out breakfast bars and fruit snacks and water for everyone to take to wish them a good semester. They are always thinking about us residents! They joke with me everytime I come in the office too! Debbie even helped me write a resume for a job I was applying for! Tell me what other apartment complex manager would take the time to do that. I was once talking to one of the office workers about this huge paper I had to write, and she told me that she was an English major and she would proofread it for me if I wanted her to, and she really did it! Any time I have ever had a problem, they have always done whatever they could to help me out. I highly recommend living at University Gables! It is really rare that people who are happy with where they live find sites like this to post it. That is why there only seem to be negative comments on here. University Gables is really a wonderful place.

University Gables has got to be the worst apartments in Murfreesboro. I have lived here for two years and refuse to renew my lease again. First off the noise is awful and the broken beer bottles in the parking lot are really a pain. Maintenance staff here are untrained and very slow. We end up changing our own air filter at our own cost. Our fridge stopped working and all of the food had to be disposed of. They refused to pay for any of the spoiled food. Then on top of that we went three and a half weeks before they replaced the fridge! The furnature is very cheaply made and the sofa cushion covers were torn and comming apart. Something else they refused to replace when we moved in. My roommates and I keep our apartment and rooms very neat and clean, but still seem to get some kind of stupid fine for trash that is not even ours. Ask anyone who lives here and they will tell you to spend the extra money and go some place else. The only good review that you will get about this place will be from staff that lives here. The office staff is very rude and do not seem to care about the people who live here. That whole thing about popsicles and hot chocolate is a the biggest load of crap that I have ever heard. If you are reading this and thinking about living here don't do it. Trust me it would be the biggest mistake you ever made. University Gables is the worst place to live in Murfreesboro!
