I find it rather interesting that people have posted that they have never seen a spider in their apartment. My roommate and I lived at these apartments for 14 months-the length of the lease. During this time, we maintained a clean and hygenic environment because I am quite ---- retentive about my living space.

Having said this, it was infuriating the amount of insects that we had invade our apartment. In addition to the daily infestation, there were a few major incidents. First of all, one morning I awoke to the sight of a giant billiapede running across my ceiling. Another morning, I got out of the shower to find my cat playing with a fried mouse-literally, it had roasted underneath the oven.

One evening, while studying for a graduate Finance class, I noticed a cockroach of medium size perched on the front door jam. Within the next five minutes, we had also located a very large flying cockroach as well as another medium sized one.

My favorite incident resulted in these spiders (quite often found in the bathroom, probably due to a leaky pipe) actually biting me during the night. I awoke one morning to find 4 spider bites encompased by a baseball size ciruclar bruise. I went to the doctor, as I was feeling ill already, who proceeded to inform me that it was quite possible that it could have been a brown recluse. Luckily, my skin did not rot off or anything of the sort.

So what occurred when I told the apartment management' Did they come bug bomb my apartment' No. They came and placed sticky bug traps. Once. They were full of nasty little insects within a month, including a spider with a body the size of quarter. Absolutely sick.

Additionally, our "dining room" window leaked, resulting in higher air conditioning costs, heating costs, and rain pouring into our apartment and onto the carpet. We requested numerous times for this to be fixed and, after it had been "fixed" once and continued to leak, we just put a blanket up over the window.

I am really not a negative person and there were some perks about living here. Cable and water included was a great fixture. It is very close to Kroger and some good restaurants. The pool was nice when it was actually open (they began construction on the pool on Memorial Day weekend which delayed the opening of the pool about 3 weeks and then closed it for a week because someone had thrown away beer in the pool trash can...how is that my problem') The clubhouse was nice for my graduation party. Other than that, if you want to live in a place where you do not have to kill an entire colony of insects and then some, this is not the place for you.
