Way overpriced and horribly built

My wife and I spent a year in these apartments. First and foremost, these are NOT convenient to MTSU. It's about a 30 minute drive campus during busy traffic times, and it's only going to get worse as Murfreesboro continues its metastasis outward. Second, it's not convenient for commuters. It will take you a long time (at least an hour, if you're lucky) to get to downtown Nashville, as most of the rest of Murfreesboro and Smyrna get a head start on the interstate.
Now, let's talk about living here. Oooooh! It's a gated community! It must be secure, right' Wrong, the gate is a tremendous nuisance at best, and that's when it's working. It stays open long enough for two or three cars to come in behind you (see those cars waiting in the middle of the drive' Newsflash, they don't have access cards!), and the back of the complex is bordered by apartments on an unsecured lot.
As for the apartments themselves, if you're a reality TV fan, then you're going to love these, as the paper-thin walls and cielings will let you hear everything that's going on above and beside you. We unwillingly learned all about our upstairs' neighbors love life, bathroom habits, and daily struggles. This was capped at night by a horrible creaking floor that magnified their every footstep and made it echo throughout our bedroom. We didn't get much sleep.
Other highlights were three, count them, three leaks, one of which literally made the side wall bubble out from all the water inside, showerheads that we saw at Wal-Mart for 99 cents, and office computers that were essentially useless (Two dinosaurs and a printer that was constantly out of service). After our lease expired, they tried to increase the rent by $100 (!), but we were long gone.
If you like wearing earplugs to bed and useless perks that insult your intelligence, then you might be getting a good deal at $300 for a one-bedroom. Whatever price they're asking (probably at $800 by now) is going to be too much. Look elsewhere!
