After 4 yrs of renting to Waterford I got screwed by the Complex when moving out after buying a house.I had never been late with rent never had complaints about me or noise(except when my garage CO2 detector went bad, not my fault). I turned in a notice to vacate apartment after my lease had ended within 2 months stating that by the end of the 2nd month I would be gone because I was buying a house. For nearly 4 months I had been telling them about me buying a house and kept them up to date about it. At the end of the month of July I had found A house to buy and was in the process of buying it. I talked to either Kristin or Ashley( yes I am using thier real names) Before My rent was due in Aug verbally told them that by the 1 of Sept I would be completely moved out. I said to them do you want that in writing and they said no I had my notice to vacate already on file. WRONG!!!!I am now stuck with paying for a month of rent due to the fact that even though they knew I did not put it down in writing that I was going to be moved out on that date and NOT the end of Sept. If they had said to me ok just put on here down at the bottom of your notice that you are going to out before then I would have without hesitation. Something they failed to tell me.I guess they just they are just money starved. I had put in my trust in that since I had told them that I was moving that all would be OK. NOT SO!!!!!! So I am paying for an aprtment i will never use in a month time.
Make sure when doing anything that it involves the staff or the apartment complex you either right it down to them or get it in writing to avoid getting srewed liked I did.
The place is noisy, Rent is VERY HIGH (around $1000 a month on a two bedroom) and the complex raises it's rent $20-$30 per year. You can't get a decent parking space at times. Would you like to park far away at times so other tennants friends can park there and party on weekends' They have a high move in and move out because of these problems.
The landscape is very nice. As it should be since you are paying that high of rent and they are paying workers probably below wages to them. Heck they will even blow the grass, debri, leaves, ...etc even if it is raining or storming out.
They do have a New Office complex. That is the only improvement I saw when I was there. They didn't do anything to my apartment for four years BUT they got a new Office complex so they can be more comfortable working out of there. They ahave taken away some funiture that use to be at the pool like tables with umbrella's as of yet they have not replaced them.

I am the manager, Ashley as referenced above. I am very sorry you feel this way. You were an amazing resident to have and we were very sorry to see you go. However, we have to require the same thing of everyone and we require all notices in writing and any changes have to be in writing as well. This is clearly stated on all paperwork you received from us. Once again, I am sorry for your unhappiness.

I guess amazing resident isn't good enough. You did have my notice for months in writing and I was in constant communication in that time frame and WAS told by your staff personnel that everthing was good about the statement until I actually moved out and then you notice you informed me of the problem? I guess if you didn't have alot of apartments for rent everything would have been interputted ok as that but since you did not, it was interputted as something else to get money on an empty apartment. Please do not chocolate coat what you have done with a "I am very sorry" response!!! Apartment searchers should know this isn't the only comments about the staff so beware, so you to you to won't have to deal with the apartment complex and get a "I am sorry for your unhappiness" after they get your money

Apparently you have to give several notices when moving out. We called 5 months in advance to let them know we were not renewing our lease in this "H E double hockey stick" hole place. We were told to call back in 3 months. We called back in 3 months and they said to call back in 1 month. We did, then we were told to provide a 1 month notice. Something sounded funny, so we finally sent a certified letter telling them of our 4th notice to not renew. Sorry about your luck GotScrewed2!! You are not alone.

Boy this is so sad. I have seen numerous comments online about this complex. Please everyone pay attention to these comments. All you evr get is an "I'm Sorry" comment like usual no one at Waterford will try to make anything right. Gosh! I can't wait to get out of this place. I'm counting the days...........

Ugh. Yep, we also had to put up a struggle to move out of Waterford, although we gave them plenty of notice. They didn't mind our inconvenience (a new school semester was starting), I think they were just happy to squeeze a few extra dollars by forcing us to stay longer.
