So this apartment is in an absolutely great location. It's a little bit of an older building, but it's really cute and has the benefit of lots of windows. It's in pretty good condition too.

The one thing I want to complain about is the landlord. She never gets back to you and to get anything fixed, it takes at least a few months. (That's if you're lucky enough to get it fixed.)

The place is a good place to live and priced well, you just never get anything fixed. The landlord is difficult to deal with and never answers her phone.

I have to agree with the other review. It takes an act of congress to get her on the phone and then it takes forever to convince her that something needs fixing. Best bet is leaving a msg that there is a major problem fire, flooding etc... and then she will call back. apt is a little old but good price for the location.

Read the fine print when you deal with this landlord (or add your own fine print if possible).

I'm moving back to Nashville after being in Knoxville (the land of misfit toys) for 19 years. I thought 2117 Acklen would be a great place to live until I could buy a house, but after reading the reviews, perhaps it would be a good idea to look elsewhere.
