With the management, obviously. there is a security gate but it works about half the time in the two years I've been here. They have a person out there but they're only out there from 6 to 8 in the evenings - long enough to let people coming home from work get backed up into the main road, but not long enough to be considered a real deterent, since they leave so early in the evenings.
The buildings have undergone renovation, but half of them haven't even been worked on in the last year! Who knows what may be lurking in the breezeways of the continually empty apartments'
There have been several reports of car break-ins, breezeway and other exterior lights have been turned off on occassion.
The renovation is a joke, too!
When we moved in our apartment had been renovated, so well in fact that maintenance forgot to put in outlet plumbing for the washer dryer connection! When the cable people came to install cable, they found the cable plugs unfinished and it took 3 tries for maintenance to come out and finish the job.
While this next part is not the apartments doing, the contruction on Elm Hill Pike has been horrendous and a huge turn off to renewing a lease here.
The good'
The apartment staff has always been friendly, and polite, making up in their areas they lack in, such as mentioned above. The facilities here are great, as far as the on-site gym and the pools look nice. The price is not too high.
Unfortunately it doesn't make up for safety issues. Check it out if you're not too concerned about your safety, but otherwise, you might want to pass it by.
