These apartments are next to the worst apartments I have ever lived in. They are cheap, but there is a reason for it. They were built in the '60's. They apparently have not been touched since. There was a fire almost a year ago that burned down one entire building. There was no fire extinguishers at the time and the building went down like kindling. They are not safe, not clean, and the management is a joke. I too, have had experiences with the "maintenance" guys just walking into my apartment. They knock once, and then they are inside. You have to pay an outrageous water bill every month to a company, but it is not the city water company. And, you only pay for "hot" water. I am sure you can see how much sense that makes. And, they can turn off just your hot water somehow. Just a horrible place to live altogether. There are washer and dryer connections, but they are in former closets and the washer backs up into the sink. There is absolutely no closet space and poor appliances. They have a major mold problem and horrible insulation with cracks around the windows and doors.
