This apartment complex is the worst. I moved out of my old apartments, The Club at Hickory Hollow because a neighbor of ours would not quit carrying around a gun in the open public. So we moved and just last night in building 1000, my neighbor had his aparment broken into. He luckily was not home but someone kicked down his door in one good kick and stole $2250 cash and ALL of his electronics including a toy train'! The neighbor is extremely sweet and works extremely hard for everything that he has and got everything robbed from him. The maintenance man came over and repaired his door poorly and the cops came and took down a police report. They told us that they often have to have patrol in the grounds to maintain security. I have already moved all of my valuables out and into a security storage early this morning since I have nothing as it is. The pavement and grounds on the apartment are extremely poor. They have not repaved in years and years. They did some sewer work behind building 1000 and removed all the turf to get to the lines and after they were complete, they did not put back any turf and now it's just all mud and slosh everytime it rains. I asked the manager there when I had first moved in if they had ANY security problems and she had assured me that nothing was wrong at all in a long time. The police definitely had information contrary to that claim. It's a cute layout and I like the actual apartment itself. It's just impossible to live there safely. I can't go running outside with millions of men watching and dogs wander everywhere from a house close by that children let loose after school. And no the robbery was not done by -------- either. He was a tall black man. My roommate had heard the huge bang when he popped the door and after a while of our dog growling at our door we let him out into the breezeway to show him nothing was there but the man was walking down the steps with a stereo in arms. It is completely unsafe and people try to make a living off of your hard earned items. Don't live here if you have anything valuable!
I can hear everything in the breezeway. If you are in your living room having a conversation, you had better whisper because when I'm coming home I can hear someone talking about there plans, to who is going to college to who won the football game. Even my roommate coming home has heard our TV when it was on low volume in the breezeway. The bedroom has your average idiot who thinks it's soothing to play Death metal music to sleep at 2 and 3 am.
The heater we have is constantly running as I have felt the vents and NO heat is coming out. Only slightly warmed air. You definitely will spend a pretty penny trying to heat up in the winter.
