A little puzzled by the other reviews

I'm a little shocked by SUCH negative reviews. I will agree with the comment that the office staff isn't the most professional. They seem a little arbitrary with their rules and regulations. It is also annoying every other week my card to get into the gym doesn't work.
However, I have not had any big problems with noise, safety, or robbery. I am in a building that is not as near the bulk of the complex and on the 3rd floor. This may be the reason I have not had issues. But as a single woman by myself, safety is kind of an important issue. I've felt safe here the entire time.
Yes, I think that the fixtures are not very good here, however, the handymen are excellent and prompt. My airconditioner broke, and fixed it that day. They also fixed my faucet at the same time because I asked them. One surprise, my front door was sticking b/c of the humidity, they fixed that too...even though I hadn't asked them to.
I don't know what to say to other peoples' complaints. I guess my advice is: don't take an apartment near a lot of other apartment buildings or places where lots of people would be outside and loud. Also, if you are worried about crime, don't live on the first floor where theft is relatively 'easy' to break into the apartment. As for spiders/bugs...it IS a woodsy area in Tennessee... bugs coming indoors is worse in the summer and not really a problem in the winter.

You just haven't experienced having a bad neighbor move in by you yet. And as far as fixing major things, well they may tell you they will do it then not do it. I had a refrigerator that was actually painted white inside to cover up the rust that started coming through. Even the rubber seal was painted. My breaker box was arcing and I had to tell them more than once to fix it. I actually had to explain to them that it could burn the place down. Oh yeah, the mold. Have to use tilex weekly. Very strong stuff. Never needed it anywhere else. The mold comes from the back side of the tiles. Oh and the floors are concrete...so if they bounce and make cracking noises. Think about it. Concrete doesn't bounce...but it does here.
