yeah Brandywine has its problems. But who doesn't water heater leaks and bad neighbors are just apart of the whole apartment experience. I have lived here for about 6 months now and haven't had any problems. This is my first apartment on my own and im on a budget so the 475/month rent made it well worth it. All you have to do is slap some paint on the walls and get some cute things from Target and BAM its perfect! As for safety, I haven't had a problem yet at all. I get home at about 11:pm every night from work and sometimes even later. Brandywine is a great place to live on a budget and if your just trying to save some money.

I'd imagine this post is most likely from an employee of Brandywine. It's still standard operating procedure from when I lived there six years ago, for one of them to come here after a bad review...also standard operating procedure... and post something good about the place. If you read all the ratings you'll find this happening over and over again. This place is still a crap hole and the people who work there are still shady.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! You just haven't lived there long enough yet. My first year was fine. I was warned by other tenants to get out before crap happened. Ignored the warning. My rent went from $540 to $700. Get out while you can.

I couldn't help but think that this had to be an employee trying to make good on here despite the past few bad reviews too. And yes the rent has gotten much much cheaper than when I lived there. Brandywine is still the worst apartmentcomplex I have ever lived in to date and I simply cannot recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn't be spending this kind of time and effort on a website warning people about what they would be getting into if they decide to actually rent there if I didn't feel so strongly about how bad an experience I had with this place...I wrote the review about the mold and the small waterfall in the living room. I'm seriously surprised that they haven't been fined by the health department or shut down...I thought apartments had to be regulated by some kind of agency...Then again I was surprised that all the rumors I heard about Turtle Creek apartments right down the road were true and people let those kind of things go on all around them...Brandywine falls into the same category in my book...I personally think that if people don't speak out about what they've experienced and demand better it's going to be harder and harder for people to find affordable, safe, and clean housing. It's honestly a shame really that behavior and experiences like what have been discribed in my post and others can and will be tolerated by some!

$475?!?! HOLY CRAP! The rent has seriously gotten cheap since I left last September (and living there for 3 years). Brandywine was the biggest dump I've ever lived in (and compared to my apartment while I was in college...that's really saying something). The first year I lived in 2209 (bottom floor, backed up to the woods)and there was bugs everywhere....HUGE spiders. So digsgusting. Then I moved into 1907 (upstairs, overlooking the parking lot) and although it wasn't so bad when I first moved in (Nov. 2006), it quickly deterioriated. My neighbors were (and probably still are) drug dealers and underage kids that like to drink all day and night. They constantly partied in the hallway/breezeway and with other low-lifes across the street. And for a young professional like myself, paying almost $700 a month to live there....the partying and the cops showing up wasn't exactly my idea of a good living situation. These neighbors eventually were the reason that I had to move out....I got so tired of the partying one night, I called the cops on them (for like the dozenth time)...and finally something got done about it (but this is after they tried to break down my door, climb up my balcony, smash out my glass door with a broom that they had stolen from another neighbor, and eventually, when they stuck a knife in my door....I gave Brandywine and those neighbors the biggest middle finger ever!) Needless to say....my place in Hermitage is sooooo much better than I could have ever imagined. Guess that goes to show that good people do win...because I'm sure those losers still live in Brandywine today and are the reason that Brandywine has a 23% approval rating on this website. No way in hell would I recommend that place to anyone. It was good in it's day...but those days have passed. I suggest moving out when you can...trust me...things will get worse. Every negative review on here is absolutely true. If you need more info...feel free to write back on here and we can chat one-on-one about this. I'd hate for one more person to be stuck living in a crappy, unsafe environment.
