The Ridiculous Story Of The Entry Gate:

Let me tell you about the entry gate.
There used to just be an electric entry gate that opened when you scanned your card. Ok, fine, no big deal.
However, when the staff discovered that multiple cars were driving through the gate each time (because it stayed open long enough, and nobody wanted to wait for it to close and open again), they installed a wooden gate arm - IN ADDITION TO THE GATE - that would only open just long enough for you to zip through.
The electric gate, however, was open for the same amount of time, so you still had to wait. Except now the arm keeps you from going through.
So anyway, at one point after the arm was installed, the gate was vandalized, the arm was vandalized, the apartment sent out angry letters to everyone, and - oh, the best part - they installed a security camera near the entrance, pointing BACK at the entrance, so they can see your license plate if you try to do anything fishy.
Fun, huh' Find yourself another apartment. You don't want to live here.

It's ridiculous. The stupid wooden arm doesn't help. My car still fits between the gate and the arm. People still ride your ass when you scan your card. They're just lazy! I can't wait to move!

Yeah, amazing. What a crappy apt complex. They expect the renters to follow the directions and go in one car at a time. Holy Crap! That's just terrible! I've never seen a problem with the gate that wasn't caused by some idiot who can't swipe a card.
