I have to firmly disagree with that. I have seen MANY, MANY people waiting in the parking lot of the businesses right outside the gate, and on every occasion that I have witnessed, they all tag along behind someone with an entry card, with no response from the, shall we say, "Mightier than Thou Super Hero Cop" that lives right in front. I've lived here for a while, and personally love the place. The only problem is that the gated entry is a joke. It malfunctions often. Just a few weeks ago, we received notice that there was a problem and had to use a code until it was fixed. I've come home just to wait in a long line behind someone up front waiting for anyone with a card to come running to the entry box to buzz them in. There are a lot of visitors that do that, and I can count on both hands the number of times I've waited for 10-15 minutes just to get to my own apartment. Why? Because I refuse to get out of my car and buzz someone's visitor in with my access card. If possible, I back up and let them turn around. Oh, just in case you did not watch the news this week, 2 women were robbed here at gunpoint the evening of Dec. 19, 2005. I saw the news broadcast, and was searching online for the article, which I cannot find. I am curious as to the time of day this happened. Has management sent around a news alert to its residents? Not as of today, and it's the 22nd. The news stated that the man was caught, and his girlfriend was driving the get-away car. Hmm...wonder if taggging behind someone with an entry card helped them get in to do harm. Quick question, when you come home and there's a person in front of you that gets in with their entry card, do you wait for the gate to close and swipe your own card to get in, or do YOU tag behind them?
