Easily #1 apts. for single person

I am moving for the 4th time in 6 years and I found most of the comments posted on Apartment ratings has been pretty good on evaluating apartments, so I want to give you an honest appraisal of Brixworth apartments and the immediate area (i.e. stores, gas, banking, post office, movie theaters).
I been here since Oct 04 and leaving because I accepted a promotion to another state. Otherwise the thought of moving elsewhere in Nashville never entered my mind. If you are going to work downtown or go to school at Vanderbilt, I kind of did your homework for you.
Simply put, Brixworth is located in the best location in the city. Downtown commute with a couple of lights during commute hours 20 minutes to the heart of downtown. I worked at the Cordell Hull building and if I left Brixworth at 7:20AM I got to work at 7:50AM. That includes a 10 minute walk from the state parking lot to my office.
For the last year I didn't even take my car because the #3 bus stops directly in front of the Brixworth and goes right down West End Avenue stops at the gate of Vanderbilt and heads downtown and leaves me off a half a block from my office- (yes- I should have been taking the bus from day one only $1.25 each way and ou can get it cheaper by buying a monthly pass). I lived in New York, Florida and St. Louis- The Metro bus is the best I have ever rode- on time and friendly drivers). With the price of gas- you should save a few bucks.
Okay how about the area- great neighbors on the complex. No one is going to come by and steal your groceries if you leave your trunk open while you make two trips. Same mailman for years and he always says hello. Post office is about 3 miles down the road away from down town in Belle Meade. (Super-ritzy section of town). The nice thing about this post office the doors are still open at 6-7 PM at night or on Saturday or Sunday to weigh, get postage and mail your packages.
Right in that post office area is a great Saturday or Sunday morning bagel shop- usually a line but it moves- everything is fresh and tasty. Bring your paper and relax.A block away from that is LePeep restaurant(also a good breakfast eatery.)

Okay back to the immediate area-

Definition: traffic light distance 300 ft between lights in this area

Real close 2 lights away- Shell, BP, Texaco gas- quick food- 1 light taco bell (yeah well I like Taco Bell now and then) Kroger 3 lights and they are building a brand new Publix grocery store 2 lights away!! Publix is really great. I only shopped there while I was in Florida.
All the banks are 3 lights away I use Bank America- good drive Thru (not usually crowded)-do your banking and get gas at Shell right next to it.
If you go 3 lights to White Bridge road you have all the mid-range restaurants- Calhouns, O'Grady's, J. Alexanders, a pretty good Chinese buffet restaurant (crab legs, even have a big carve your own roast beef in there!)
Office Depot Office Max- everything right there. (Good Italian restaurant (mid-range)next to Office Max.
Very convenient when you go to the movies: You go the back roads to the movies at Green Hills-10 minutes tops. West End turn at the light and the fire house to T- turn right to Estes Rd about a mile to Abbott Martin road turn left get you right to the back of Green Hills mall- if you go on Hillsboro Road (always congested)it will take you up to a half an hour.
Alright how about the place: Quiet, kids from Vandy have a party once in a while-never gets too loud or out of hand- never seen a police car on the property, tenents are nice. Parking is okay, I usually get home by 6PM and can park pretty close to my apartment. If you come in 12 mid-night- okay so you have to walk a little bit- but the complex isn't that big.
I have a one bedroom- good size living room, call Tony to hook you up for Comcast same price he sets the whole thing up for you- also DHS- prive 45.00 for Comcast TV and about the same for DHS. I think you can get a dish if you have a southern exposure.
Washer and dyer hookups providied. I rented mine since I move around a lot. $33.00 a month for the pair (Azuma appliances - go on line and check Azuma out- they are nationwide).
Water pressure okay, air conditioning excellent- NO BUGS- are you ready for this- never seen any bug in my apartment- that is pretty good.
They are upgrading all the apartments on the complex to include black granite countertops and black appliances- my apartment will be done the day I leave. The person who has a little smaller apartment than mine already told Clysta she wanted to move into my apartment- a little bigger- and happens to have a screened in porch.
The staff: Clysta manager is super nice- she knows everyone and makes sure all our maintenance needs are taken care of. Keith and Mark (maintenance) have been here a long time. My air needed charging a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. I went to the office on Monday to ask for a repair and Mark said why didn't I call on Sunday to get it fixed because they consider that and emergency! It was fixed in two hours on Monday!
Why such a long report''
I move a lot. I want to read reports from real peple so I can make a sound decision. I don't want to be unhappy or regret that I made a bad move. So when I move I want to help the person considering where I have been so they can make a good evaluation.
Apartment pricing: Probably be in range around $9-950. Is it high' A little. But you park your car and forget it. Also, talk to some of the people in any direction from Nashville and ask them about their commute. If they are honest they will probably say they hate it- construction zones all over and just a lot of traffic. How much is it worth to you that you don't have a crazy commute'
That's enough. Brixworth has been here long time, great track record-easily #1 in my book. (Sometimes they have a waiting list to get in- down dawdle around school time- professors, students and nurses (St.Thomas heart hospital acrross the street) will gobble these apartments up fast. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji
