Long Time Resident

I can only speak from a personal viewpoint, but since I have been here several years feel I am qualified. I moved here in 2003 and it was exactly what I was needing after a divorce. I lived by the #2 pool the first year and did have a problem with the couple above me 2 or 3 times. My mistake, as I knew I should have asked for 2nd floor. Management did make them move after he was arrested for abusing his wife. Living by the pool was my mistake also, as you would not believe what all goes on in the pool. So, a pool is not always a good thing. Those of you who only live in an apartment for the pool need to get a life anyway. They allowed me to move to a 2nd floor apt. at the other end when my first lease was up, and I have been "happy as a lark" ever since. They even gave me a new W&D the first week when the old one quit. They installed it the next day, and I have had no problems with maintenance here. They usually are very prompt. If it is a minor problem, I just fix it myself, as I am not helpless, like some people. I have been treated very fairly each time on my new lease renewal, and have negotiated affordable leases. I like where I am as it is very quiet. Maybe for some of you, selection of the apt. is where you went wrong. The only thing that I would feel better about is the gate. It does stay torn up too much and should be kept repaired so it can be locked. I fully realize too that some residents and guests are responsible for tearing it up. I have almost been hit several times by cars exiting the entrance gate. Overall, I would say I am pretty content here. Maybe for some of you who are not, you bring some of your problems on yourself. Attitude and the proper approach can work wonders. No apartment complexes are without their own problems. Trust me, I lived in Monthaven (expensive) in Hendersonville and had many problems there.
