Apartment is cheap, rent is not!

The carpet in this apartment is very cheap. It bunches up in places, and it is very thin. The linoleum in the kitchen is peeling up since it was never laid correctly. I tried to wipe off some normal wear-and-tear scuffs on the wall, and the paint came off instead!
The kitchen faucets are of a poor quality & must be replaced every 6 months as they come separated from the sink. The kitchen fire estinguisher was empty when I moved in, which I discovered once when I had a grease fire- I had to call the fire department!
The apartment is very poorly insulated. If you stand at my door in the winter time, you can feel a strong, cold draft from the cracks around the door. The large windows & glass sliding door do not help. My heating/cooling bills are atrocious.
I find that the management team is generally clueless, though sometimes friendly. They also take lunch at random times & leave the door locked (with no sign posted) so that you cannot pay your rent when you need to.
They also change the codes on the laundry room & fitness room without letting ANY tenants know. If you try to do laundry at night, and no staff is in the office, you are out of luck.
Finally, if you don't sign a lease with them, the month-to-month rent is about 35% more. It is a total rip-off. Check out the Lakes at Bellevue instead- I know 3 people who live there & like it.
