There are things that are good about the complex and there are things that are not so good. That is the case with any apartment complex, you are not going to find a perfect apartment complex as I have found over the past several years living in about half a dozen different ones.
The good things about the complex are as follows. The space in the one bedroom is very nice, especially the very roomy walk-in closet in the bedroom. In fact the closet space in the entire apartment is very adequate for one person. There are plenty of windows which are very nice to get light and breeze into the apartment. The complex seems very safe, but that comes with the bellevue area. You can walk around in the middle of the night and have absolutely nothing to worry about, unlike walking around centennial park at night for example. The maintenance staff here is probably the best I have ever seen in an apartment complex, if you have a problem they are there the same or next day everytime and they are very friendly and easy to talk to. The office staff is also very professional and very efficient dealing with any issues and you can pay rent with a credit card-rewards time!!!! The location of the complex is nice, you are only a mile or so away from the interstate and various resturants as well whats left of the bellevue mall. Percy warner park (the best park in nashville by far) is very close as well as a Kroger only a couple of blocks away. You are also only 15 or 20 minutes away from dowtown and the airport is a direct drive on I-40 east.
The things that are left to be desired are as follows. The buildings are older and need renovation on the inside as well as out-my electric bill is higher than previous one level single apartments that I have lived in before(averages about $70). The kitchen has very dated features and the appliances look to be from the 1980s. Parking can be a problem especially at night as there are plenty of spaces during the day but at night it is a totally different story. I have to park at least a few buildings away many times at night. The fitness center that the place has is a joke-join the YMCA or Delta fitness in the bellevue area and the pool area draws a very shady crowd in the summer. Watch out for the people who smoke cigarettes and drink beer in the pool. The only other thing that is a negative is that the office staff told me when showing me my apartment that nashville had a "housing shortage" and that any open apartments are going to be gone very quickly. I was new to Nashville and didn't know any better and I guess I stood out like a bleeding swimmer in a shark tank. If you are new to Nashville go to realtracs.com (the MLS for the middle tennessee area) and then you can laugh at the "housing shortage". I know that renting and buying are two different issues but there is an apartment complex right next door to the Crossings as well as one across the street (all within a block's distance). Hwy 70 heading toward west end from bellevue also has the lakes of bellevue which is probably the largest apartment complex I have ever seen. There is no housing shortage in Nashville, maybe at the Brixworth up near 440 and west end but let me be clear, you are talking about two totally different complexes and locations (drive by the Brixworth sometime and you will see what I mean). Just keep this in mind when looking at the place and don't expect the crossings to be some remarkable community that is the most desirable rental property in the nation and you won't be dissapointed-you will probably find it a very nice place to live like I have. Overall, I would recommend the place versus not recommending it. It fits my lifestyle and needs from an apartment complex and I like the safe feel you have in the bellevue area. I feel confident that if I am in the Nashville area a few months from now that I will renew my lease here at the complex.

I live at the lakes and like it so much better than the crossings!!! I looked at the crossings and some crazy lady in the office (skylar), who was very pushy, showed me one that was awful! My boyfriend and I then came to the lakes and found a great place!! There are 3 pools, a nice fitness center, and tanning if you need it. It is also not that expensive. The staff are always helpful and maintenance is great here too.I always have a parking spot right in front of my apartment too! I would definitely keep your options open for a new place.

Are you kidding?? The lakes of bellevue is horrible!!!!I live in the small one bedroom and it is wayyy to much money for what it is. Its like living in a $700 shoebox! And not to mention the appliances are older than I am. The "sparkling hot tub" is disgusting/green and when I called numberous times to complain NOTHING was done(and its NEVER hot). I am moving to the crossings as soon as my lease is up. At least there the rent is reasonable and the apartments are twice the size.
