At the time that I was looking for a place to live, this apartment was my choice for several reasons:

1. I was in a desperate hurry to get out of where I was
2. Their "model" apartment is decorated REALLY well, which is very deceiving
3. The deposit was only 250, instead of a full month's rent
4. I was told I was getting a third floor, vaulted ceiling apartment with hardwood

It's now 10 months later, and I'm getting ready to pay double rent for two months as I move into a new house because I'm needing to leave here so badly and they won't let me break my lease here. The apartments are nice enough, but here a few things you need to know.

1. The walls are paper thin. Even as I write this now (no lie), I am listening to my downstairs neighbor's loud rap music. It usually starts every night around 10:30pm and lasts anywhere from 2 to 3 am. Mix that in with the loud stomping that starts upstairs around 5:30, and I get about 2.5 hrs of quiet sleep a night. They'll tell you the walls are "reinforced with concrete" and while that may be true, this must be some thin concrete!

2. The kitchen appliances in the model apartment are not the appliances you'll get. They are all very dated, and match the 70's wood paneling on the cabinets very well.

3. Make sure if you tell something to someone in the office over the phone or in a written letter, that you triple check they got it. Things tend to "go missing". It's best to go into the office and handle things. This works well if you DON'T have a 8-5 job. You also won't ever talk to the same people twice. Make sure to note your transactions. They are all very, very nice... but just a little unorganized.

4. The walls/carpet/floors are not in the best shape. They do a good job of painting/cleaning before you come but aged apartments are aged apartments.


5. There is no hot tub. It's been "out of order" for about 2 years.

6. If you like watching people make out in swimming pools while you sunbath, this is your place. The pool is also not protected by key, so there's always tons of people in there.. lots of kids.

7. In most areas, if you come home past 7 or 8 at night, you will more than likely have to walk quite a ways in the dark. The parking is not organized well at this complex.



I'm a bit ----, I suppose, when it comes to little details like the glasses on my coffee table rattling from my neighbor's sound system, or having to walk across the complex to my car when I'm running late for work... this place might be a good fit for some, but I thought it best if some people knew what they were really getting before signing on the dotted line.
