NO WAY!!!!!

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
Do not live it here at all costs!!! I lived here till 2009. We moved there because of cost, location, and neighborhood. We had literally problem after problem when we moved into Forest Park. All concerns and issues that we requested to be fixed before we moved in were not done come scheduled move-in date. Most serious was a leak in the apartment which ended causing mold to grow. There were insects EVERYWHERE even with monthly spraying, bait traps, and bombing of the apartment. We contracted bed bugs (yes they are real) as did every one in our building. There was barely anybody in the office during scheduled open times, even when rent was due. The staff when able to be tracked down were repeatedly disrespectfully without case. Phone Calls\Maintenance Requests\Voicemails\E-mails were BARELY answered, literally like one in ten times. Several times after maintenance had supposedly come to fix a problem (which was never fixed) things of value were missing. Also the apartment is not appropriately insulted and is very drafty around doors and windows which made electricity bills insanely high. I have dents and scratches all over all of my vehicles from kids jumping on them and hitting them with rocks and toys (there was occasions were kids have thrown food and drinks on cars). You can often hear stereos. Most of the kids openly play in the parking lots, run in front of cars, and refuse to get out of the way. The cable tv outlet box was broken into several times. People smoke pot and cigarettes on stairs and in breezeways. The dumpsters are usually full, messy, and littered with cats and raccoons. Mailbox area which is in the back of the complex was not always lit at night. Mailboxes themselves show evidence of people trying to break into several boxes. Also there several raccoons living in the culvert under the mailboxes. There are frequently EMS and Police called especially to the back of the property. Several times well known pizza places and restaurants would refuse to deliver after dark, stating the reason of drivers being held up. Water was nasty and sometimes had odor. Literally there is a moving truck there every month. Upon moving out they refused to do a walk through with us multiple times. After moving out we received outlandish charge requests of nearly $2,000. They wanted to charge us for new carpet even though they said they put in new carpet before we moved in. They also said that we moved out a month before our lease was up even though we provided them with 60 day notice (per rental agreement) of our intent to leave at the end of our lease agreement. Furthermore they had provided us with written notices themselves of the end date of our lease agreement, not to mention we have a copy the signed rental agreement which affirms the date on our letter as well as theirs. They also wanted to charge us an insane amount for cleaning fees saying the apartment was dirty and that we left trash in the apartment, which is ridiculous because I personally spent a whole day thoroughly cleaning the apartment before I left including paint touch-ups, new drip pans, and new light bulbs.
