Good things:
Assigned parking for residents.
The grills are good.
The maintenance guys are friendly and get the job done (though when they have to contract the work out to a painter or roofer, not so good).
No bugs!
The office staff was always nice to me, if not always available.
Bad things:
Little parking for guests.
NOISE!!!!! If I didn't wake up at 2:00 am when the drunks were coming home, I woke up at 6:00 am when my neighbor got up. He wasn't a loud guy, the walls are just unbelievably thin...
The toilets! When Trammell Crow took over, one of the first notices they sent out told everyone that if our toilets back-up, we should use a plunger. And they offered to give us a plunger if we didn't have one! Hey, thanks, thanks a lot. That's what I pay $1400/month for...
The office hours. The posted hours are OK, but just try to catch someone in there working. They are usually "Out to lunch" (from 11:00 to 2:30 in the afternoon') or "On the property". Sometimes they post a sign that they are out because they are having an office party. It's lovely if their employer wants them to have long lunches and little parties, but its just frustrating to rush home from work to get a package and find them gone 2 hours early...Ever heard of a temp service'
As for the comments in "Read this first", all I'll say is that the lady doth protest too much.
