If you are currently renting here or even thinking about it, make sure of one thing. You have documented everything that happens inside in terms of condition and/or maintenance.
Photograph any spots on carpet, nicks in appliances, bent mini blinds, loose fixtures, etc, tile damage in baths, and submit them to the office by registered mail, keeping a copy for yourself.
Upon leaving, insist upon a walk through in which you are present.
Keep all of your service records and ask for a confirmation of any damage as a result of the situation that needed servicing.
The high rent here is apparently not enough to satisfy the management here and you will find yourself assessed some very high charges when you leave.
It's just another of the delights of living in an apartment complex that is more pretense than it is quality.
