I recently moved out and chose (unwisely) not to schedule a walk-out. I did not believe one was necessary because I had previously moved out of several apartment complexes without scheduling a walk-out and had never been charged anything in damages.

I subsequently received a bill from the Gardens of Hillsboro Village for several hundred dollars in cleaning damages. In my opinion, the charges were particularly ridiculous in light of the fact that I had thoroughly cleaned my entire apartment only a few days before moving out because I had family in town for a celebration.

Add that experience to the bug problems (I killed several that were the size of my thumb), plumbing problems, and exorbitant rent, and I strongly advise people considering this property to live elsewhere.
