In July 06 I moved into a one bedroom apt at Gazebo, when the leasing agent took me into the A building I noticed a few cats running around the property she told me that there were a few but it was under control. I really did fall in love with the apt she showed me and I signed a year lease, a few days later she called me and informed me that the apt that I put a deposit down on had a bad bug problem but told me that she had something opened in the C bldg. A few days after I moved in I noticed that the cat problem was not a little problem. The first week I lived there I counted 14 wild cats outside my apt living underneath the deck and four of the were pregrnant. A few weeks my A/C went out in my apt one of the guys came up and charged in and sit the temp on 60, three days later my A/C was out again, once again I called them to come out and they charged it, three days later A/C was out again. This problem went on for a month finally I had someone come out with common sense and they discovered that I had a leak and they fixed the problem. I went to the office about the problem and informed them because of the leak I had a 200.00 electric bill and they acted as though they didn't care. A few months pass and I am cooking for a Thanksgiving dinner I turn on my oven and sparks and flames come out of the top of my stove top, once again I called emergency maintence they ask me to turn my stove off and they would fix it in the morning, two days later they fix it. Later on that week my heat went out it was 47 degrees outside I called maintence at 1pm they didn't show up until 5pm, then he left to get a part and never returned, I had to call emergency maintence at 9pm they sent someone out at 10pm and he was there until 5am. On July 4th 2007 I woke up at 9am to the ceiling in my bathroom laying on my floor, my hall,kitchen, and the entry to my bedroom was flooded by water. I called maintence and they sent a carpet shampooer out to my apt and then he left. I asked the maintence guys when they would be out to finish the project and they told me tommorrow. The next day noone was there to clean up the mess or even start to fix the problem. Three days had passed and I went to the office and spoke to the main manager Michelle, she was very rude to me and told me that she would have to come down and see it, when she got into my apt she told me that it wasn't that bad. Day four I had contractors in my apt cutting out only wet padding from the carpet, cutting out only wet sheet rock where my wall and caved in into the bathroom, and did not replace anything on the ceiling where the water had leaked through they just sprayed more popcorn spray over the mess and covered it up. They did not replace the floor in my kitchen which now smells like urine, they did not replace the sheet rock in the kitchen which is now pulling away from the kitchen counter, they didn't replace all of the padding so I have hard areas in my carpet. The ceiling in the bathroom is now covered with black mildew where they didn't clean it before they sprayed it and painted it. I had to stay out of my apt for four days because of asthma and now that the mildew is starting to grow on the ceiling I have been staying with friends or my parents because its causing me to have attacks. Gazebo is aware of all of the problems and they seem like they don't care and they still expect me to pay for all the hell I have been through. I hope this letter helps anyone that is looking for apts not to select Gazebo.
