The week I was to move in - the apartment informed me the specific model/building I had requested was no longer available. At this point it was too late to walk away. I had requested a third floor apartment with vaulted ceilings in a specific building. Instead I had a floor level apartment, larger sq ft with a higher rent... The new apartment was bigger, but, not what i wanted. They then INSISTED that I pay the higher rate! In no way compensating me for the inconvenience they had caused or accepting that it was their mistake that required me to live in this apartment.
I should have known at that point and walked away.
It was painful to pay over $800 for a 700 sq ft single bedroom. When it comes down to that much money I expected to deal with professionals. The manager Kimberly is incredibly unprofessional, she reminds me of a woman with no business education trying to run this facility. I could deal with her if I was paying $400 a month rather than $800. She also has a young son who is able to roam the complex and do whatever he would like. I found it very annoying. Especially when he would ride the complex golf cart around in the wrong lane during the early morning "rush hour" for people leaving for work.
I also had a problem with one of the girls that works in the office, Amy. She is friendly, but, does not have business sense. So, to be delivered bad news (usually consisting of a high price tag). With the tone of someone working at the Gap made me cringe. PLEASE give me a name of some realistic professional I can deal with.
The parking area is limited.
There is a fire station right down the road that is really loud when they frequently drive by on Old Hickory.
The "security" gate is NEVER working. The gate access controllers are intermittent and require frequent trips to the office to get them working. The gate will not allow you to remotely operate it if you have a long distance phone. I had just moved to Nashville and when guests came to visit I had to walk down to the gate to let them in (since the call box would not dial my long distance cell phone).
I have finally moved out and am relieved.
The only remotely good thing going on for that apartment is Amy Crossman. If only she handled ALL interactions with the renters.
PLEASE do not live here, the amount of headaches will be never ending.
