The not so good, the bad, and the ugly truth

I've lived in several apartments through school and post school and the fact of the matter is that Hickory Point is honestly a very unpleasant place to live. Let me number the reasons why one should not live here (in no particular order).

1. Staff - Their superficial attempts to "help" you when you need something, whether it be maintenance issues, the phone answered, or simply the office being open during business hours, is irreparable. I will say, I have to give props to Cory the maintenance manager for his apologetic sincerity and willingness to help. I'm sure he has to smooth things over with residents quite often and I feel sorry for him for working with such an incompetent staff.
2.Price - So this is Brantioch people, not Green Hills, not downtown, nothing glamorous. The staff mentioned above will tell you free starbucks (stale), great pool (dirty-gross), b-ball court and workout facility (10 machines & less than a half court), and oh what beautiful scenery (water tower and dried up pond). There is no reason to pay any sort of a premium for this place! It's not all it's cracked up to be if you can't tell already.
3. Structure - No joke this place could have been built out of matchboxes or a deck of cards. The walls are super thin and yes everyone knows when you live in an apartment you can sometimes hear your neighbors. I'm talking super thin as in no insulation in the walls or around the windows and door frames. So not only are you overpaying rent, you are also paying NES anywhere from $160-200 per month in heating and cooling. So for those of you that don't like to pay a lot in bills or are very GREEN you may just want to reconsider.
4. Staff - What do you know, we are back at the staff again. So these people are going to throw a 40 page lease at you. The problem is that they don't understand the lease agreement and the fact that it is not only a legally binding document for the resident, but also for the Peek-Howe company and their staff. They will throw you under the bus and attempt to get as much money out of you as possible. Seriously I would not be surprised if they charged residents for replacing batteries in smoke detectors. So your lease ends and you're like get me the heck out of here and then they bill you for oh I don't know...using the door too much and now it squeaks, mystery carpet stains that are photographed in an apartment that obviously was not yours, and don't forget those 42 cent pool tags or 49 cent parking tags. Yep you'll get charged $10 if you don't have the parking pass or pool tag.
5. Safety - I'll keep this one short and sweet. Gate didn't work for 6 months. Apartment got broken into. Nolensville Road/Gun Shots/Fire Trucks/Police Sirens. Domestic Violence in the parking lots. Sound safe to you'

Okay so this place is pretty much terrible. Take my word for it...I wish someone had warned me!
