I lived here from fall 2000 to summer 2001. All seemed well on the surface, but I had the following complaints:

--A large construction and remodeling project, of which we were not made aware upon lease signing, meant that we had to put up with large numbers of construction workers, and their equipment, wandering around the complex, seven days a week for months on end. The complex is still undergoing some renovation, which remains disruptive. It should be a more attractive place to live when all this is finished, but I am sure rents will increase as a result.

--Management was slow to respond to any complaints regarding construction-related problems (there may have been too many to address quickly, and perhaps the contractor should really be held responsible for this).

--The security system included with the apartment was a selling point more than anything else, and never worked properly. One rental agent informed me that she never activated her alarm anyway, and that we shouldn't worry.

--Despite the exterior remodeling, the complex is 15 years old, and beginning to show its age...appliances are mid-1980's vintage for the most part, and there are cracks in foundations, etc. Our screened-in deck has a noticeable slope that probably can't be remedied.

--The one garbage collection dumpster is at the front of the complex, a long haul if you live at the back as I did.

On the other hand, the complex is nice to look at, sprawling across a scenic hillside, and is in a fairly convenient location. There is even a small lake with a resident flock of geese. However, the problems I mentioned above prompted me to accelerate my search for a house, and to go ahead and break my lease when I found a home I wanted to buy, instead of staying the full year.
