Some pros......more cons

I have lived at Hillmeade for two years. While the rent was steep, it is one of the largest apartments in the area for your buck.
Like most apartment complexes, management bends over backward to get you in, but once you are a resident, it's all downhill from there. They often send notices regarding residents leaving garbage on walkways, not picking up after pets, etc., and they threaten to fine those who violate, but I have yet to see them follow through. Having to walk past spilled garbage and animal feces definitely detracts from the otherwise picturesque hillside setting.
Layouts of units are very nice, but much maintanence work is needed if they are trying to rent these under the guise of luxury living. Carpet is cheap, floorboards are squeeky and uneven, appliances are well worn, and plumbing is outdated. Occassionally, we have had black greasy substance discharge from faucet. Electricity bills are extremely high (high ceilings, lack of storm windows, drafty doors and windows).
Think twice before signing a lease....
