I lived at Hillmeade last year and to be honest, I felt that for the money (about 1400/month), I could have gotten a much nicer place. The last straw came when they were redoing the siding, and the workers outside my bedroom window started drawing on the new siding. One morning, I woke up to find a devil face and a ---- swastika drawn on the siding outside the porch. When I called the management office to complain, I was first told that the workers would certainly not draw such offensive pictures on the new siding and someone else must have done it as a prank (I lived on the second floor). When I pressed the issue and said I didn't care who did it, I just wanted it removed, I was told it would be taken care of immediately. Two weeks later, it was still there, so I called them back and suggested that perhaps I should mention the drawings to the paper, they finally painted over them. I don't think that it should have come to that under any circumstances. This is just one example of the difficulties I had with the management there.
