I lived in this complex for two years, and in that time, my car was broken into twice (the first time, they didn't take anything, but just broke my window, and the second time they broke my window and stole my radio) and my father's car was also broken into during the five days that he had his car parked in my parking lot while he was out of town. His radio was also stolen.
This place isn't all bad -- the price is great, especially considering its convenience to everything, plus the number of square feet you get for that price. The neighbors were generally friendly and quiet. The utilities weren't too expensive. The maintenance staff was friendly and quick to respond.
Despite all of this, I left after two years because I simply didn't feel safe anymore. The lighting in the complex is absolutely horrible, and, as a single female, I had to call a friend or family member on my cell phone when I'd walk from my car to my front door at night just so I'd feel safe.
