My wife, kids and I moved in a year and a half ago. Initially, we were attracted to the abundance of manicured grounds and senic quality. It offered a more relaxing environment than any other complex. For the cost of rent, it is a bit more affordable than some other complexes. As expected, this is because the buildings are sorely neglected and outdated inside and out. We were willing to make some concessions. For example, units here have ugly and abused cabinetry in the kitchens and baths, and trim, windows and doors also need replacement... The floors squeek loudly with every step, and you can hear your neighbors through the thin walls. But, after settling in, we realized that everything is sorely neglected, from perpetually overflowing garbage in and around the dumpster and canisters placed next to picnic tables, to the dangerously unsafe tennis courts. There is zero enforcement of picking up doggy doo. You will step on it and track it in. The 2 pools are dirty, one of which was closed much of the last season.

The leasing office personnel does very little to take care of tenant complaints. Our bathroom has leaked for months, and the repairs finally done were entirely unacceptable, a total hack job.

There have been 4 separate fires since arriving. The wiring is aluminum - very dangerous - the plumbing leaks, and there are mold issues. Many residents here complain of persisting sickness associated with it.

Do not be fooled by the facelift that should be complete by summer of 2007. Although it should be pretty, it will mask only one of the core problems. We will still be managed by an ineffectual, uncaring, and incompetant staff.

Lastly, I would like to address the progress of construction going on right now. The crews doing the work have torn up the grounds everywhere. There are few places any of us can walk or play, and the streets are blanketed with nails and glass. All of this could be avoided, but office management doesn't care. At the very least, tennants should be compensated with a sizable reduction in rent, 200 dollars or more per month, for putting up with all of the inconveniences and aggrevation for what will be close to a year. We may have to band together, collectively, so our voices will be heard and taken seriously, and resort to litigation as recourse. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

I agree as well. This place is a nightmare. I sometimes feel like we should be paid to live here. Reading comments from people who claim they are happy and have recommended this place to others really shocks me. Everywhere you go there is glass, noise and strange construction workers gawking at you as you pass by.

The interiors have been done and trust me, the floors still squeak; also I too wonder why the dumpster is allowed to fill up and "stink to high heaven" especially since people DO PAY to live next to this big box of garbage. That concerns me from a purely human interest perspective. With change always comes some degree of discomfort so hopefully everything will "shake out" in the end and this will turn out to be a really nice living experience for all of us. Have HOPE!!
