Do not rent here

We are very dissatisfied here. The construction is totally for the benefit of Knollwood management and not the tenants. It is a cosmetic change only.
While putting up with construction, many here have had damage to vehicles, tires have picked up nails and worse, and there is broken glass shards everywhere on the roadways.
We rented a two-bedroom townhome with central heat and air. It is now warm weather and we have no air-conditioning ... oh, sorry, we have a window 110 unit in the dining room - the one room we never use. It can cool the bottom floor but the bedrooms are upstairs and are any where from 10 to 20 degrees hotter. Sleeping is difficult.
While working on our building, there were windows, doors, and other materials "stored" on our breezeway between apartments. Yet when a tire was left next to our door and was removed by maintenance personnel, a nasty letter was put on our door stating any other items left outside our door would be removed and $35 charged to our account. We do not know who left the tire. This tire was left in an area we do not control, that is open to the public any general and could have been left by anyone.
This new "renovation" does not include any renovation of the inside of the apartments. Cabinets are shoddy and in poor condition, drawers in them do not work right, and the walls - just don't ask, they are terrible.
All of this is happening while we are promised that our rent will go up. We have been placed in a construction zone, with daily hazards, asbestos removal being done while we are present, dumpster deliveries (you know the big noisy construction kind) at 2 a.m., that is 2 in the freaking morning!!!, and hammering all day and way into the night. I am asked constantly by non-residents how much discount they are giving us for our trouble. Imagine the shock I see on their faces when I tell them none!
Just don't rent here. These people deserve to go bankrupt. They say they love their residents - they don't. They love your money only. The Bellevue community deserves a better management company to run this place.

Renovations are a pain i agree. The next phase is inside. The cabinets and appliances will be replaced. Will be like new. That is why rent is going up. As it should. I asked an employee, and they gladly explained the renovation phases. As much as renovatios are hated, can't snap a finger at it be done. Have to go through a little pain to have something great.

Renovations are expected to be a pain. These renovations have been so poorly executed that they are a complete nightmare. Rent has gone up for residents living here now before the work is completed. As it shouldn't.Rent has not been adjusted for people without air even now. As it should. Compensation hasn't been paid to people with electric bills 4x's higher than usual due to construction on their bldg. during the winter. As it should. Replacement of the cabinets won't solve the various water leak problems in several of the apartments.
