Every single time my upstairs neighbor washed clothes, my toilet bubbled and for the entire time i was there, they would to come out and "look into it" but it NEVER got fixed. I was paying 565 and when it came to renew, they told me it would go up to 635!! I could not understand this because MY TOILET BUBBLED!! It would be so loud! The staff in the office are nice...just incompetent! I had decided to move into a smaller apartment because it was cheaper but after 2 months they had not given me a new lease to sign! In early May, I was up studying late one night and saw a large rodent in my kitchen! I called the office first thing in the morning and you would think they would be disgusted....NOPE!! They said, "aww darlin, its JUST a field mouse" (not at 4-5 inches PLUS tail) "theres nothing we can do, thats how those lil varmints work, they get in anyway they can".........Needless to say I moved out 24 hrs later!! It worked out perfectly because they had not given me a new lease to sign and my lease was up May 31. Their response told me that they knew that there was a mouse problem. I didnt have any bugs and kept a pretty clean kitchen... The rodent problem explains the electrical fires in the complex in the past. Ironically enough, a month after I moved out, i got a call from a friend in the complex who told me that my building had an electrical fire. I have noticed that Knollwood has renovated the OUTSIDE of the buildings....the problem is INSIDE...what is the point of putting a new outside on an OLD building...The plumbing and wiring need to be replaced!!
