I have read some of the negative reviews on this site, and it makes me wonder which apartment complex these people are living in! Theirs is NOT the Legacy Hill that I know.
First, let me say that I am a real person, a tenant. Please feel free to ask me questions if you'd like.
I am just beginning my 5th year here, and I absolutely love my apartment!! This complex is old, yes, and it occasionally does have some of the problems that come with living in a more established building. However, I have always found the office and maintenance staff to be prompt and courteous when responding to a call.
It's quiet here, and I have only had to contact our on-site courtesy office once. He responded to my call immediately.
I have read that the office staff is never available, and that is just not true. They are busy, and sometimes I do have to leave a telephone message, but my calls are always answered or acted on that same day. Sharon and Karessa are firm and businesslike, but they are also kind and fair, at least they have always been that way with me. I have lived at other rental property, and I personally think they are two of the best managers I know.
As for those who wrote that the office does not give enough notice when things are going to be done inside the apartments, I have only had that experience once. This was not the fault of the management staff. It was a scheduling problem they had with the contractor. Anyone who has ever built or renovated a home knows that contractors can be very unreliable sometimes. I shudder to think what it's like to try to refurbish or renovate an entire apartment complex.
Ours, by the way, is beautiful! The apartments that have been renovated in 2005 and 2006 are just gorgeous. They were taken to the bare walls and floors and COMPLETELY redone. Every apartment in the complex now has a brand new central heat/air unit.
I'll close by saying that, if you are considering a move, Legacy Hill is a place that you should at least visit. I have recommended it to my own friends. 8-)
