Bait and Switch Tactics

Don't fall for Madison at Ridgelake's so-called rent specials or "concessions" that offer discounted rates up front. After you move in and complete your initial lease term, they will jack your rental rate up substantially in order to make up for the FREE rent they offered in the beginning and more.

Read the lease contract carefully. They require a 60-day notice to move out and will charge you a vastly inflated "market rate" that is hundreds of dollars over your regular rate if you try to move out early, or even at the COMPLETION of your term without this notice.

Don't expect to get any support or response from the corporate management or owners of this property. I tried several times to get someone from their home office to respond to my complaints without success. If they had nothing to hide, they would be professional and address their dubious business practices when questioned.

Based upon my experience, Madison at Ridgelake would rather rip you off with additional charges than to keep you as a long-term resident. After they have your money, and you're gone, they can bait and switch the next sucker...

it doesn't end when you move out. we got charged to pay for: 1st bath sink dirty $10, oven $15, drip pans $18, fridge $20, countertop $5, washer / dryer $10, 1st bath toilet $10...they nickle & dime you to death. our apartment was not clean when we moved in and the washer & dryer had glass pieces all over in front of it, behind & underneath making them not sit evenly. so, they continue to gauge you even when you move out. BEWARE!
