The outside is very pretty. But the water and sewer company that contract with (most recently NW&P) charge TOO MUCH. I'm single and travel 70% of the time w/ my job and my bill is $40.00 a month regularly! The lake outside is beautiful but it's not worth it. Recently my renew lease rate INCREASED $76.00! It's crazy but YES they do give you wonderful specials but be prepared to move out once your lease is up. Maintenance was a big problem in the beginning... if you needed something fixed make sure you say IT'S AN EMERGENCY!
Hopefully they will get better b/c the complex is too pretty on the outside. Last thing... I originally moved into the apartment townhome and my apartment was burgularized after 3months along w/ two other neighbors... management wouldn't relinquish me from my lease however they let me 'transfer' to another building. So if you do choose to stay there...stay away from the town home with the stairs leading to your front door in the back (facing the woods)where no one can see you. Madison will not be sympatheic to your problems. Ask them to show you which apartment is available and please do a thorough walk through after moving in. I had 3 light fixtures replaced, shower rods, ice maker...things you assume are fine..let alone fixed b/f you move in.
I moved from Dallas and my complex was WONDERFUL! That complex was bigger than Madison's and they seemed equipped and staffed for the size. I think Madison may need more staff to accomodate thier residents needs in a more timely and efficient manner.
