I just moved in a WEEK ago on May 6, 2008. Apparently I should have read the comments on here before signing a lease. My neighbor above me must not sleep and it constantly sounds like a train going thru. My walls actually shake and I have had something fall off the counter into the floor. On top of that, I have other neighbors that fight all day and you can actually hear the woman crying. The steps are broken everywhere. I mean literally falling off. I am going to call the codes office to find out if I can do anything about that. The grounds are nice but that is the extend of anything good I can say about this place. I have a year until my lease is up and I suspecting it to be a bumpy ride.

***It gets better!! Two metro city police were at my complex this evening. Is this the projects''' I thought this was supposed to be a nice place. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE!!!!!!! All of this has literally happened in 5 days. I can't image what is going to happen for the next 360.

***Gets even better!! On my 7th day here I call the office to find out if they have anything available so that I can transfer. The girl was curious as to why and I told her I didn't like the noise and commotions that have been going on. Since she didn't have anywhere else available she told me to let her try and talk to the neighbors. Well, my neighbor upstairs aparently became very upset that I was having a hard time, knocked on my door, and when I couldn't answer because I just got out of the shower, he proceeded to yell at me through the door. His closing statement was, "It's and apartment, if you don't like it B**ch, buy a house." He ran back up stairs and jumped as loud as he could for about 10min. Luckily I was on the phone with the office and they heard the whole things. Management came by to let me know they were handling the situation but I no longer felt comfortable there. The leasing office offered to transfer me to almost a 100sq ft smaller apartment at the same cost as my bigger apt. Long story short, I had to go all the way to corporate until they finally offered me a deal that I did not feel penalized for. Because the guy upstairs (you know, the one that cussed me out and made the disturbance) is sitting pretty just like he was before. However, the new tenant that hasn't caused one issue is being told sorry that ya can't deal with it but you signed a lease. All in all I still do not like the place but I have to say that after going through hoops, Jenny the community director, negotiated a deal that made me and probably my neighbors happy.

The metro police that were here last night were to get a cat out of the drain. I only know this because my fiance works for Belle Meade Police Department, and he text messaged me telling me he had heard it over the radio and thought it was humorous. However, many things have gone horribly wrong where the police were involved on grave circumstances in our two year occupancy here. Glad you posted all of this nonsense you and others have to deal with in this dump. We're out in 18 days and counting!

The police were here again and this time for a disturbance/possible abuse case. I look up at my apartment while walking my dog and see two police officers creeping up on this apartment door. This is horrible. I am scared to come out of my apartment.

I've lived at Madision at Ridgelake for two years and had no idea that this kind of stuff was going on. I would however, like to add that the leasing staff (including management) as well as the maintanence staff here are very unprofessional. Their incompetence resulted in my decision to finally get out of there. I've had soooo many issues with repairs to my apartment due to water damage caused by leaks, broken appliances, etc. My lease expired on 05/31/08 and I was elated. I would never refer anyone to this place. It was such a horrible experience that I've decided to involve the corporate office...let's see if their attitude regarding my concerns reflects that of the staff at this location. Hang in there, it will soon be over.
