This makes the third apartment I've had in Bellevue (the fifth complex I've lived in overall), and I'm going into my fourth year here. Much of what the reviews say are true, but I have yet to live in ANY complex that didn't have the same problems at one point or another.
Are some areas of the complex run down' Absolutely, but you've got to look at how many units there are, how long the buildings have been here, and how many people have lived in each unit. I'm not surprised maintenance can't keep up with it. No, there are not enough maintenance staff, but Madison is a business, and businesses frequently understaff to save money. It's just a dirty fact.
Are there crime issues' Absolutely. But this is also the only apartment I've had in Bellevue where my own car has not been broken into. Break-ins and shady characters are going to be a factor no matter where you live.
Are there noisy neighbours' Absolutely. This is the gamble you take when renting an apartment. You share walls, and short of those walls being constructed of titanium and then padded, noise is always going to be an issue. If you don't want to take that risk, rent or buy a house.
Is the staff rude and inattentive' Sometimes, yes, particularly when there are issues that deserve attention. I will not excuse this, and it is without a doubt Madison at Ridgelake's most glaring fault.
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment, but with the same cautions I would issue with any apartment complex. Be smart, be safe, read the fine print, and accept that renting an apartment will have certain inherent downsides.

I wonder who this was written by? Perhaps one of the ladies in the office...? Probably not, I mean why would they write these reviews when they should be working and actually trying to resolve some of the problems all of these f-ing reviews are about!?
